 The founder of the Satta Matka game was Ratna Khatri who introduced this gambling game in late 1950. Ratan Khatri was used to be known as Satta King which refers to King of the Satta Matka. After a few years, another person named Kalyanji Bhagat introduced a new concept of a betting game. Under this new concept, people were allowed to bid one rupee. This attracted many because it was very cheap to play and the game was named Kalyan Matka. Then, Ratan Khatri again came into the field with another idea.


This made Mumbai a betting and gambling hub for people as it was started after the independence of India for fun and entertainment. Yet the people drowned in Sattaking and did not find the place to escape themselves from it. This became a business for many and in the 80s & 90s, the betting game reached heights. After all Mumbai police came into the actions & arrested many for playing Satta Matka. In the aftermath of this, Indian law banned betting and gambling games forever.

Many companies escaped from the Mumbai Police and did spread the Satta Matka business in different cities and states of India. However, people find different sources and ways to bid their money in the hope to become rich overnight. In 1961, the New York Cotton Exchange transferred to the Bombay Cotton Exchange, so does the attention of people.

Gamblers started bidding their money on the Bombay cotton exchange as the New York cotton exchange discontinued in 1961. At that time, Cotton Stock was facing so many ups and downs and people found it interesting to wage on that. On the closing and opening rates of cotton exchange, people used to wage. The time went on and the Satta Matka or Satta king game got evolved in so many terms.
